How We Got Started

In 2010, Nicole Tanner founded Swig, the unique drive-thru drink shop in St. George, UT. But just one year earlier, she was on a very different journey. In 2009, Nicole was diagnosed with Cystosarcoma Phyllodes, a rapidly growing breast cancer. Since Nicole didn’t have health insurance at the time, she not only had to worry about battling cancer, but also a mountain of medical bills.

Once Nicole was cancer free, she discussed her financial situation with a hospital administrator. To Nicole’s surprise, her medical bills had been paid off by the generous donation of others. From this experience, Swig’s annual Save The Cups campaign was born! It’s a way to give back and help deserving women pay off their medical bills from fighting cancer. Every year, we raise money throughout the entire month of October to support as many women as possible.
